22 Samples arrived!

No matter how old you are, receiving your product samples in the mail makes you feel like a kid again...which is what we are all aiming for, right? This week 22 of my product samples arrived from 3 different companies who make coasters, place mats, magnets, cards and a paper pads.

Here are 2 items made by Leanin' Tree, a notepad and magnet.

See more items on my new facebook page where I will be posting photos of new products and projects.

Here's a post from Tara Reed's Blog

I am very excited to announce that in September we will have another new art licensing expert on the line. Dena has graciously agreed to share her more than 20 years of experience in art licensing with us.

Dena has also been nominated for Best Art Brand Program of the Year at the prestigious 2008 and 2009 annual LIMA International Licensing Excellence Awards.

Dena knows art licensing. Designer, TV Host, and entrepreneur, Dena founded internationally acclaimed Dena Designs Inc., as a full service design and merchandising studio.

For more than 20 years, Dena Designs has created powerful best-sellers which have sold globally in the hottest stores, from specialty retailers to the nation’s leading chains.

Voices that Matter

Attended the web design conference again by Peachpit Press called Voices that matter.

My highlight is always Steve Krug who wrote the best book on web design I've run across in a long time called Don't Make me Think. But then again, I like simple reads that are funny like his. The best thing I've learned from him is how to do a usability test, to see if your website is functional.

There were several other interesting seminars on
  • HTML5 & CSS3
  • Social Media
  • Typography & Fonts
  • Smartphones
